10th anniversary ELMO - Brand New ELMO!
The red plush Elmo doll became a national sensation in 1996, when Fisher-Price released it to an enthusiastic reception from kids, adults, and toy industry reviewers alike. Indeed, the first version of Elmo went "Platinum" in just one year, and the proliferation of Tickle Me Elmo memorabilia helped revive the somewhat flagging Sesame Street brand.
The latest edition to the Elmo lineup is the TMX Tenth Anniversary Elmo. The X stands for the Roman numeral 10. This plush character is great for kids primarily between ages of two and five, and it weighs just a little more than two pounds. It takes 6 AA batteries, but Fisher-Price is holding the other details of the Tickle Me Elmo TMX toy close to the vest to ensure a thrilling marketing opening.
You can also find other Elmo products, such as the "you make me want to shout" Elmo, who sings in a cute bluster. You can find this original in Spanish, as well. There is also a doll that actually learns your youngster's first name and puts the name into its routine of tunes and interactive dialogue.
Elmo is slated for release on September 19th 2006, and parents and toy enthusiasts are already lining up to get their order. Make sure that you look for proof of authentication when shopping for a TMX doll. Fisher-Price has a reputation for making sturdy, quality children's toys that manage to push the envelope while retaining classic character consistency.
