Trends for 2006
- Make cardstock ribbon by stamping on cardstock, cutting thin strips or use patterned paper adhere to cardstock and cut in thin strips
- Adhere ribbons with staples, buttons, snaps, pins, etc. You get the dimensional look without the bulk.
- Add texture by embossing page elements like chipboard letters, frames, or tags.
- Sand buttons, frames, paper with sanding paper. You can use chalk or inks to give it distressed look.
- Use rub-ons to turn simple cardstock into an eye catching border or accent.
- Ink paper-flowers and other accents.
- Add Faux Burnt Edge to fabric, ribbon, or cardstock tags by inking edges with a light -brown ink, blend into the center and then apply walnut ink to the edges only.
- Rip and Tear Envelopes to create pockets.(even window,card,gift,envelopes you already have). Another great idea is Gift/Christmas Tags you have left. Use the Edging idea on photo mats, background papers, and strips.
- Going to the hardware store. Try Foil tape. You can emboss it with stencils and stylus. You can also paint the embossed look.
- Use Buttons in the center of Metal Rimmed Tags. You know those odd ones you don't know what to do with. Use your pliers to break off the shank. Adhere to the center of the metal rimmed tag. You know have charm. Use a jump ring, chain, ribbon, brad, or eyelet to adhere.
- Use Bubble Shakers inside a metal rimmed tag to give added dimension.
- Use Slide Frames. Decorate with buttons, flowers, metals and other items found in our store. Visit our store for additonal ideas and supplies.
