Are you addicted to HTML? Here are some signs. Do you think in pixels instead of inches? Do you have 40 templates stashed away "just in case?"  Have you run out of disk space because your computer is loaded with gifs? Have you seen every one of the 5760 backgrounds at GRSites?

Fear not! Reclaim your life! Become a productive member of society again!

  1. Admit that you are powerless over this addiction to make "pretty" pages.

  2. It takes a month to form a habit and three months to unlearn it. Put your computer in the shop for three months.

  3. Take up knitting - make pretty socks. (Don't forget those closing tags,um...stitches.)

  4. Paint the house. (A style tag will help here.)

  5. Plant a flower garden and make your yard pretty. (What a nice background that would make!)

  6. How about a little spring cleaning? (Keep those tags paired and in order.)

  7. Clean out the garage. (Delete the old template files too.)

  8. Sound too much like work and not enough fun? Make model airplanes, read a good book, go to a baseball game or concert, play an instrument or do anything else that requires you to leave the house or use two hands.

  9. Start an HTML mentoring group.  Lurk the boards looking for HTML questions.

  10. How's that working for you? I thought not. Well, now that the computer is tuned up, the house and garage are clean, the yard is pretty and everyone has designer socks, your only hope is to give in to it and start selling templates. At least you'll make some money and become a productive member of society again.
