As a busy mom, sometimes I find that my pictures just add up in boxes or on my computer, and I find it hard to sit down and work on two scrapbooking pages for hours on end. The way I have worked through this problem is buying scrapbooking kits.
There are so many fun 12x12, 8x8 and die cut kits out there from most of the top brand companies. Find the theme you are looking for and you are ready to go!
Here is what I do:
1. Select the pictures that I want to make my scrapbooking pages.
2. Find the perfect kit!
3. Get my trimmer, pens, adhesive, scissors and I am ready to go.
4. Crop all my pictures down to exactly what I want to remember.
5. Double mat all my pictures with coordinating cardstock colors.
6. Lay out my two background papers in front of me and arrange my photos on top to see exactly what looks perfect.
7. Get all the fun die cuts, ribbons, fibers and stickers that match my kit and lay it out around and over my pictures.
8. Always add a few journaling blocks to write about the person, event or theme. (I like to double mat these to match my photos)
9. Arrange everything (photos, journaling, embellishments, stickers) on background papers to look exactly how I want it.
10. And then glue, glue, glue everything down.
Your done! In only ten quick steps you can have a double-layout put together in no time!
My Favorite Kits:
Pebbles Inc., Wild Asparagus, K&Company, Karen Foster, Autumn Leaves, Kaleidoscope, Page Elements, Almost Done, Flair Designs, and Sandylion.
