1/6th scale radio controlled Nascar racing cars

From my experience here on Ebay Most sellers (even Powersellers) dont know and DONT CARE about the differences between UPDATED or "ADDED FEATURES" or "Hobby Grade Features" versions and Base Versions BE CAREFUL WHOM YOU BUY FROM.

Updated, Added Features, Hobby Grade Features are all the same...BASE versions ARE DIFFERENT

Some sellers (even Powersellers) cant seem to read the box or LOOK at the very item they are selling either! Or even use spellcheck. Not to mention they cant seem to see Bud racing on one car and not another "Crest version" Dale Jr. Rc car (pics below show the differences between the two Dale Jr #8 cars.. Sellers...check your item AND THE PICS you post carefully to make sure which version your selling! Sellers...theres proof that spelling errors, ARE the same as description errors, can make or break your credibility...take your time. READ THE BOX. Check out other auctions. Listen to those that are "in the know". It will pay off and who knows you might make a friend or two in the process. I have been on ebay since its inception buying and selling. Accuracy counts!

THIS IS IN NO WAY A SLAM AGAINST "DROPSHIPPING". I HAVE BEEN AN EBAY SELLER FOR MANY YEARS AND THOSE THAT ARE READING THIS SHOULD AGREE THAT ANY SELLER BE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE SELLING. EVEN MORE SO... POWERSELLERS

EXAMPLE: Would you want to bid on a 1999 Frod truck? No one makes a Frod truck. and not know if its plower sterring tramsmision, motor, works great or barely at all? (spelling errors intentional)

Revised description: Its a 1999 Ford truck and everything, transmission, motor, power steering, works as well as new and we are selling this to bet a better deal than trade in.

See what the difference in spelling and detailed description can do? Someone once said, If anythings worth doing its doing it right the first time. I see sooo many sellers relisting with the same errors. Just makes your credibility look bad if you cant listen to good suggestions. My motto is teach instead of preach.

Now..I'm off my soapbox preaching now onto teaching....

Example: "Hobby grade or Added Features" Broadcast range is 50+ yards...

Base version broadcast range is 100+ yards.... I have seen them switched around.. sellers dont care even when I have pointed this out!

Read your box descriptions carefully sellers !!! Buyers... ASK QUESTIONS !!!

"Added Features-Hobby Grade Features" versions are the better of the two versions.

Perfect RED FLAG DESCRIPTION:....(seller shows a generic Bud Racing pic)

Dale Earnhardt Jr, Hobby Grade radio control car. 1:6 Scale Size (No mention of Bud racing anywhere)

Forward/Reverse Drive with Left/Right Steering. (no mention of variable steering which is a Hobby grade feature)

Race Car built for superior speed and performance.  Features authentic driver graphics, 100 range and front and rear impact bumbers for added protection.(wrong....100 range???? HUH? Did they forget the word YARD? Added Features cars OR Hobby grade range is 50+ yards which is a Hobby grade feature ...no mention of Bud racing again which they have pictured... spelling error on bumpers)

20+ MPH, 100+ Yard range, variable speeds.  Impact wrech trasmitter.(wrong again....Hobby grade range is 50+ yards no mention of  INTERCHANGEABLE FREQUENCIES which is a Hobby grade feature...mentions variable steering BUT has confused the two versions of cars, PLUS still no mention of is this a Bud racing or not? not to mention spelling error of wrench and transmitter.)

Batteries and Charger included  (still no mention of  INTERCHANGEABLE FREQUENCIES which is a Hobby grade feature)

Emailed the seller on these problems and he/she doesnt even care... So, as a Buyer-bidder, why should I even care to bid on his/her items if they cant seem to read the darn box?..Or maybe they dont even have it in front of them. That wouldnt be new either... I have seen sellers sell these cars from one part of the country to another. Called "dropshipments" You bid and win and they order from a warehouse and have it sent to your home without even seeing it.

BE CAREFUL...I have seen the following ebay scams...

I have heard and seen descriptions  like GREAT PAINT. These are not completely painted (other than the windows blacked out) They are molded color plastic with clear stickers. SOME PAINT...or even this one..." real race Aluminum Body" !!...Wrong  they are plastic.

*****ANOTHER***** Perfect RED FLAG DESCRIPTION:....

Also have seen ...***RARE ONLY ONE ON EBAY*** ONLY 500 made*** ONLY 1000 MADE ****  ONLY USED TWO HOURS !!

WRONG.....THESE WERE COMMONLY AVAILIBLE at XMAS time IN ALL WALMARTS, TARGET STORES.  Do the math.. Walmarts are as common as dirt nowadays. UNLESS YOU SEE A C.O.A. (certificate of authenticity) in the pictures of an autograph or prototype variation... DONT BUY IT. ...lastly if Ebay has taught us ANYTHING ONLY ONE means in five minutes there will be more. Used is Used...IT IS NOT MINT. No matter what the useage.

I have emailed Ebay about this "misleading titles" and downright lies of an Ebay Powerseller. Ebays response was, and I quote...

Dear eBay Member,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to concerns about this listing.

I understand your concern in this situation. Please remember that,
although we are commonly referred to as an online auction web site, we
are not a traditional auction house. Instead, our site acts as a venue
to allow anyone to offer, sell, and buy just about anything, at anytime,
from anywhere, in a variety of formats, including a fixed price format
and an auction-style format commonly referred to as an "online auction."

eBay is not involved in the actual transaction between Buyers and
Sellers. As a result, we have no control over the quality, safety or
legality of the items advertised, the truth or accuracy of the listings,
the ability of Sellers to sell items or the ability of Buyers to buy
items. We cannot ensure that a buyer or seller will actually complete a
transaction.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS !!!  This just tells me I can list a super rare Elvis cassette and sell blank cassettes with nothing on them..and GET AWAY WITH IT !!!  SHEES!!

For a complete list of sellers who cant seem to get their act together and list cars accurately,  I can be reached by email thru ebay messages.

********************NASCAR RC CAR INFORMATION*************************

I have since (12-02-05) bought from
Walmart the 1-6th scale radio controlled cars. I own the entire collection which at the time of this review and guide is as follows

Tony Stewart # 20

Jimmie Johnson # 48

Jeff Gordon #24

Dale Jr. #8 Bud Racing

Dale Jr. #8 "Crest Version" (Huge wheat crest on the hood)

Dale Earnhardt Sr. #3

Heres more information on these neat cars.

If you haven t noticed the differences in the packaging it wouldn t surprise me. Lots of people dont notice. Heres the differences below.

On these 6 cars, on 5 of them, there is TWO versions of each driver that were made. First versions or BASE versions and Second versions or "Added Features" Version.

The Dale Jr #8 BUD RACING ONLY COMES IN HOBBY GRADE FEATURES!

The FIRST or BASE versions have NO "added features" stickers and you CANNOT race ANY TWO (or more) cars of the Some of 5 different drivers' cars at the same time! Dale Sr. and Dale Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart cars of the FIRST versions (no added features) CANNOT race ALL together! Transmitter frequency cannot be changed. Speed and steering are straight function. (no variable anything). They either turn right FULL turn or left FULL turn or it goes straight. Speed is either it goes FULL ON or it doesnt. Same for reverse gear.
However in theory you can run a 49 mghz car (base
version) and 6 added features car together (if you have the spare
frequency chip set).

  BASE VERSION

Pictured above is BASE VERSION BOX front and back. The next row is the Added Features Box front and back.

Even thought these are DIFFERENT drivers cars' the backs of ALL of the Added Features are the same information...See the difference now?

On "My Ebay" webpage are the UPDATED versions of the cars.

Again, each of the 5 different drivers' cars made are two different versions of the same car one has more features than the other. UPDATED or "ADDED FEATURES" versions have "ADDED FEATURES" stickers.

Those "Added Features" are...

Digital proportional steering (variable steering), which means you can turn the transmitter wheel slightly and the car turns a little. Turn the transmitter wheel alot and the car turns alot.Variable speed control this means you pull back on the trigger a little the car moves a little, pull back on the trigger all the way and the car takes off! This also works for reverse gears as well.

Now if this isnt cool enough...

Each "Added Features" car has their own dedicated frequency All Tony Stewart cars are made with a dedicated frequency, ALL Jimmie Johnson cars are made with a different dedicated frequency, as the Dale Sr car is made with a different dedicated frequency and Dale Earnhardt Jr cars (Bud Racing and Crest Versions ARE THE SAME FREQUENCY! 6 DIFFERENT Frequencies Listed below for 5 different drivers' car.

The transmitters for the "ADDED FEATURES" cars are different as well. "ADDED FEATURES" version transmitter has two "trim" adjustments on the back of the remote as well as the Frequency Chip on the side of the remote than can be changed, and can also be changed on the chassis of the car. So if you own 2 or up to 6 of the Tony Stewart cars, you would have to have a Frequency pack to race them ALL at the same time. Now, two or more different drivers' cars can race together (or Five people can race 5 different cars). Below is a Added Features transmitter. Note the two black knobs on the back of the transmitter. This distinguishes the Base Version from an Added Features version.

NO TWO ALIKE CARS can race together UNLESS you have the "frequency of another car and or transmitter" to change it, or a "Frequency 6-Pack" from Team Up Inc. Then in theory you can run any ONE other duplicate car with Frequency F. Making it 6 cars....

Frequency A is 26.995 ( # 3 Dale Earnhardt Sr. )
Frequency B is 27.045 ( # 20 Tony Stewart )
Frequency C is 27.095 ( # 48 Jimmie Johnson )
Frequency D is 27.145 ( # 8 Dale Earnhardt Jr. AND the new Bud Racing #8 car)
Frequency E is 27-195 ( Offically this is going to be Future Driver/Car) Supposed to be Michael Waltrips #55 Napa Chevy....Or the NEW Brian Vickers Ore-Ida Tater car!
Frequency F is 27.255 (#24 Jeff Gordon
